Abstract
Almost 900 students have completed Tampere University’s ‘Fundamentals of Accessibility’ course. The course is available to anyone with a Finnish personal identification code. It introduces students to topics such as what disability is, how accessibility is manifested in our society, technology development, and finally, how it should evolve in the future.
This talk will introduce the course and discuss what students thought about its implementation based on the collected course feedback and conducted survey study. It will delve into themes such as whether students found the course accessible, how it could be improved, and what kind of positive feedback the course has received.
