Chemistry Library Research: Assessing Inclusivity Terminologies in Publication Databases

Inclusivity in science education includes using thoughtful terminologies in finding scientific research publications. This presentation explores how educators can create equitable learning environments by using chemistry inclusivity style guides for scientific research and library instruction. Additionally, attendees will gain insights to search strategies in library databases by exploring disability terminology in controlled vocabularies. By assessing inclusive terminologies in library collections, librarians can foster confidence in academic landscapes for chemistry and geosciences students.
